I can guarantee a successful pass in Dip PCD using this strategy and there has been a 100% pass rate of my students since 2020. 

Please take a look of the above image. Here, RCSi confirms on the website that 80% of the questions will be clinical. So, on a general note, Pink Book (Oxford Handbook of Clinical Dentistry) and PasTest will be sufficient to borderline pass the exams. A more detailed strategy is given below.

MFD 1 vs Dip PCD

• Both are equivalent and conducted by RCS of Ireland
• Both the exams make you eligible for MFD 2
• DPCD gives you extra nominal (Dip PCD) which you can write behind your name.
• MFD 1 is not a separate entity, but just a part of MFD
• DPCD cover 80% Clinical Subjects whereas MFD 1 has 50-50 weightage of clinical and basic sciences.
• In my opinion, DPCD is easier and historically has higher pass rate.
