ORE Application Overview
- This is how it is for ORE.
- You’re supposed to download the ORE application from the GDC website.
- Fill it up and collect all necessary supporting documents, clinical reference, English Language requirement, Character Reference etc.
- Then you need to send all the paper documents via courier to the GDC.
- Once GDC approves your application, you’ll be directed to create something called “eGDC account” through which you’ll be able to book your ORE exams.
- This “eGDC account” is valid for a long time
- eGDC account (sometimes confused with GDC account) is created AFTER you submit the documents for ORE application


LDS Application Overview
- LDS 1 application works this way and it’s different from ORE.
- There’ll be a decided time when they open application.
- Then, using your RCS account, you’ll be submitting an online application (which is more like registering your interest)
- Then, RCS selects candidates on some kind of a random ballot system (which is not informed by the RCS)
- Once you’ve been selected. You’ll be asked to Pay for the exam (£900 something) and submit supporting documents- NARIC, Dental Degree, Passport within the given time frame.
